I deleted TikTok approximately 6(ish) weeks ago, and one of the main reasons for doing so was because how immature cancel culture is. I got tired of seeing “drama” or “feuding”, so I just left the app. There were definitely other reasons to my decision for deleting the app as a whole, but those are for another time. Let’s talk about cancel culture.
Cancel Culture is basically the group of people who think they have the authority to “cancel” someone- as in make everyone hate them, try to get rid of their fame, etc. Now, 2020 was the year of…
A few months ago I realized that I wasn’t as healthy as I thought I was. I had major appetite problems and ended up losing some weight- and not in the way you would want to lose weight. Sometimes it’s hard to get back on track, but here are some easy tips that I use in my daily life or just tips that I find others using.
If you’re like me, then you realized how detrimental plastic waste is to the earth, and you’re trying to find small ways to make a difference. Well, incorporating eco-friendly products doesn’t have to be very difficult. In this list, I’ll share some products you can invest in that will either save you money, keep you from creating too much waste, or both! Some of these products I have used, and some are definitely on my “save for later” list.
Is it serious? What actually is it? Can we fix it? Those are questions I’m going to answer in just a few moments. But first, let’s have a look at the basics: What actually is climate change?
Climate change is the change in regional climate patterns caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere originating from fossil fuels. In simpler terms, climate change is easily just the change in climate. However, it’s not as positive as it sounds.
Earth’s climate is constantly changing- and it should. It’s natural for the climate to adjust to certain factors, but scientists…
We all thought 2021 was going to be OUR YEAR- the year of change, healthier habits, and most importantly, productivity. However, if the beginning of your year was like mine, then your January and February were extremely dull and unproductive. About a week or two ago, I decided it was finally time to get my life together. Here are tips I learned that I loved, and here are two tips I learned that I think are 100% bogus.
First, I’m going to share the two tips that are complete bogus.
I absolutely adore skincare, makeup, and anything related to it. I thought I’d share 3 beauty products I’ve been using and will never replace because they are just THAT GOOD.
On February 15th, I made the executive decision that my relationship with social media had grown toxic. It prolonged my procrastination habit as I would absent-mindedly scroll through TikTok for 2 hours- wasting so much time I would never get back. Here’s a recap of how my month has been.
It definitely took a minute to adjust to not having Snapchat since that’s what the majority of teenagers use to communicate peers in this day and age. However, I learned that I like iMessage texting SO much more. It feels more personal, and how could you not love the little…
Plastic. F*cking. pollution. Billions of plastic debris filling landfills. Millions of aquatic-life injured and dead from ocean pollution. It’s not looking so good for us if we continue living like this.
Although not all of us are experts when it comes to sustainability, most of us have a basic understanding: Plastic bad! Wood, Glass, Aluminum- good!
This month I have made 3 easy eco-friendly swaps, and I hope to continue to educate myself on the more sustainable lifestyle. Here are my 3 (inexpensive) purchases:
On February 15th, 2021, I decided that my toxic relationship with social media was too obvious to ignore any longer. I deleted Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and Facebook (although I never used Facebook) in hopes of improving my mental health, and here’s everything I’ve gathered in the almost- three weeks it’s been.
Twitter was the easiest for me to delete (excluding Facebook) because there was constant negativity on my feed. Twitter is generally the hotspot for politics, and I have a love-hate relationship with that- the hate coming from ignorant posts spreading misinformation that demonizes the other party. …
The term “cruelty-free” refers to when toxic chemicals and products were not tested on animals during its production. Animal testing isn’t what it sounds like- these scientists don’t sit the cute little bunnies down on the counter and do their makeup. What actually happens is very gruesome as these innocent animals are injected with many chemicals that can blind them, poison them, and even kill them. What’s even worse, is that most animals are killed at the end of these experiments regardless of the condition of said animal.
Most people don’t think animal testing is a big deal, but here’s…
