Germany and parts of Belgium are experiencing massive floods that have killed at least 120 people so far, not to mention the significant damage done to homes and stores. It is said that some of the worst damage was in Ahrweiler and Schuld, where entire villages were cut off and houses collapsed. In Belgium, the death toll rose to 12 with 5 people still missing.

President Steinmeier of Germany blames climate change for the flooding, and he’s probably right. After all, climate change has been an issue for decades, and it’s about time more companies and people in positions of power do something about it.

The amount of national disaster’s we’ve seen are a clear sign that we need better solutions regarding our carbon footprint and sustainability. From wildfires to earthquakes to flooding, it’s pretty evident that climate change is indeed real and will continue to get worse unless something is done. For now, we rely on companies and politicians to spread the word on climate change. Hopefully we see progress soon (we don’t have a lot of time left).
